With our commitment to green initiatives and our sustainable building, certified with WELL Gold and BREEAM In-Use Very Good, we prioritize sustainability daily. It’s a pivotal focus in the workplace. For tenants and other users of our building, this translates to a strong emphasis on sustainable services, ongoing quality improvements, and an enhanced user experience. In doing so, we ensure that your workspace is as healthy and environmentally friendly as can be.
Sustainability is our top priority. All our towers have an A+ energy label or higher, and our building is BREEAM In-Use Very Good certified.
BREEAM serves as the benchmark for evaluating, determining, and certifying the sustainability performance of buildings. This benchmark places a strong emphasis on sustainable services, continuous quality improvement, and enhancing user experience.
Examples of green initiatives covered in our BREEAM certification include motion sensors for lighting and climate control, various sustainability pilots, and an extensive recycling program. Our commitment extends to the exclusive use of Ecolabel & Cradle2Cradle certified cleaning products. Moreover, we have established a sustainable Management & Maintenance contract with the main contractor, incorporating measurable KPIs. Utilizing data-driven maintenance practices allows us to effectively minimize breakdowns, address climate-related concerns, optimize energy consumption, and manage corrective maintenance costs.
Tower Ten has been awarded the ActiveScore Platinum certification, which is becoming increasingly important in the industry. This certification recognizes buildings that excel at promoting sustainable and active travel, including walking, running, and cycling. ActiveScore rates facilities such as bike racks, locker rooms, showers, and services for tenants, such as bike repairs and laundry facilities. Furthermore, the ActiveScore certification ensures that the building is future-proofed in terms of active mobility. This focus on sustainability and well-being ensures a healthier and more productive work environment.

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) underscores the importance of your office building. As more companies are now required to report on their social and environmental impact, selecting the right office building is essential to meet these reporting obligations. For example, all towers at the WTC have achieved the highest sustainability ratings, and our building prioritises the well-being of its users, as shown by our WELL Gold certification.
Over the past few years, we have implemented fifty measures that resulted in substantial energy savings. All office lighting has been upgraded to energy-efficient LED lighting. Additionally, all of our towers are gas-free, and we have actively participated in various sustainability pilots, including one for wind turbines on the roof.
Tower Ten has undergone a comprehensive transformation, including stripping, redevelopment, and enhanced sustainability features. In 2023, the gas engine on the roof and central heating boilers were replaced with more efficient installations, expanded heating connections, and accommodated connections with multiple functions. Since September 2022, the entire WTC has successfully transitioned to a gas-free environment, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Sustainability in real estate is a top priority. Fifteen years ago, the World Trade Center Amsterdam initiated a ‘green action plan.’ Our objective is to reduce CO2 emissions by 25%. To accomplish this, we are actively employing The Real Impact Project, our toolkit dedicated to advancing real estate sustainability.
